Tired of spending hours trying to perfect your eyebrows only to wash them away later that same day? Microblading could be the ideal treatment for you. Microblading is a semi-permanent beauty treatment that allows you to have picture perfect brows for up to three years.
In a Nutshell
Microblading is a form of tattooing that should only be performed by a trained professional. During your treatment, our expert technician will insert pigment just under your skin using a hand held device designed for this express purpose. Our expert technician will fill in and shape your brows using realistic, hairlike strokes that look identical to your natural brows.
Does It Hurt?
Microblading is a form of tattooing, so there’s a certain amount of discomfort involved. To put the pain in perspective, most people find microblading more painful than waxing or tweezing and on par with eyebrow threading. If you use a numbing cream before threading, you might want to do the same before your treatment. Just be sure to apply any topical pain relief at least one hour before your session.
The main advantage microblading has over other forms of brow grooming is the long-lasting results you’ll enjoy. Instaed of having to tweeze every week or wax every month, you could experience a full three years of sheer brow nirvana.
Before Your Session
If possible, avoid blood thinners and Retinol serums or creams for at least one week prior to your treatment. Retinol can cause you to bleed excessively. In addition to being gross, excessive bleeding can dislodge the pigment, which is bad news for your brows!
How Long Will My Session Take?
Since your technician will be paying meticulous attention to detail to ensure your eyebrows are picture perfect, your treatment could take up to three hours. Microblading is both an art and a science. Trust me, you don’t want your technician to rush through the process.
After Your Session
We want you to experience the longest lasting results possible, so there are a few things you will need to pay attention to once you get home.
- DON’T get your eyebrows wet for a full week after your treatment. This means NO water, NO makeup, NO sweat, and NO water based moisturizers. During the first week after your session, your skin is still absorbing the pigment from your treatment and any water or sweat that gets on your brows could dislodge the pigment and undo all our hard work!
- DO use the cream we provided you with or Vaseline if you experience any itching or redness while your brows are healing. You might have some redness and/or swelling while your brows are healing. This is a perfectly normal side effect that usually goes away in a few days. As long as your swelling, bruising or itching doesn’t last longer than a week, you have nothing to worry about.
- DON’T worry if your brows seem too dark initially. As your eyebrows heal, they will also scar, and the scars will make your brows appear darker than your final result will be. DON’T pick at your scars. You could dislodge the pigment, or even get an infection.
